Hello, My name is Barbara Davis and I am an Associate Social Worker here at Creekside Counseling Center. I have been in Northern California for 34 years. I love the area and believe for the most part it is a good place to raise children. I received my AA degree from Shasta College and both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work from CSU Chico.
As a social worker, I was afforded the opportunity to work with youth in the foster care system for 10 years helping them overcome life challenges. Other areas of experience are working with clients recovering from issues related to substance abuse, co-dependency and social anxiety.
I have been trained in EMDR and use it to help my clients process thru their trauma. For more information about EMDR click here.
As a therapist, my passion is to empower women to change negative beliefs about themselves and the world around them. I believe change comes from within and having a safe, confidential place to explore and develop, enhances that experience.
As Case Manager for Creekside clients, I can assist and link client to services in the area such as establishing medical, dental, psychiatric care and medication management; insurance issues, housing, employment, food, and clothing resources.
I look forward to serving our communities therapeutic and case management needs.
