Clyde Tibbett, Creekside Counseling Center, Redding CAHello, my name is Clyde Tibbett, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Creekside Counseling Center.

I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology at Simpson University. I grew up in the Redding area and enjoy spending time in the outdoors.

In my experience, I have found that the relationship between the client and the therapist is integral in nurturing the healing process. It is my belief that therapy is a client centered process where you know what is happening in your life, as well as what you want to be different in your life.

As a therapist, I have the distinct honor of being the facilitator of the change you would like to experience, as we work together in learning healthy responses to life’s challenges.

I am experienced in several modalities of change but am drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Part of my training has been in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and working with Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC). I have worked with clients with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), abuse, and anger issues. My experience has included working with children, adolescents, adults, and families; in a variety of settings from group homes, office settings, schools, jail and juvenile hall.

I look forward to meeting you and walking along side you in your journey.
